"This article was first published in the Spring 2023 issue of Critical Connections.

In 2023, there were no changes to the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes and CPT coding criteria for adult critical care services (99291-99292). However, there were some changes from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and further clarity on split/shared visits in critical care.

Critical Connections, the critical care industry’s only newsmagazine, provides information on cutting-edge topics in critical care useful to the entire multiprofessional team."
