The PFCCS Course is designed to prepare healthcare providers caring for unstable, critically ill or injured patients to disseminate the basic critical care concepts to all professionals who may be called upon to care for the pediatric critically ill.
This activity will focus on increasing knowledge of the first 24 hours of care and applying this knowledge to practice settings.

Physicians: Accreditation Statement: The Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Designation Statement: SCCM designates this online educational activity for a maximum of 10.5 AMA PRA Category 1 credits™. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
Nurses: This program has been approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (No. 8181), for up to 10.5 contact hours.
Pharmacists: The Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This course provides up to 10.5 contact hours of continuing education credit (0236-0000-18-202-H04-P). SCCM reports to a continuing pharmacy education (CPE) tracking service, CPE Monitor, that will authenticate and store data for completed CPE units received by pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. The tracking system will make CPE data for each participant available to the state boards of pharmacy where the participant is licensed or registered. After CPE units are processed by ACPE and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians will be able to log in to a comprehensive electronic profile to access information about their completed CPE.Respiratory Therapists: The Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (#148740000) has been approved by the American Association for Respiratory Care for up to 10.5 continuing education contact hours for respiratory therapists.Participation in, or completion of, this course does not confer any credential, nor does it satisfy any board certification requirement apart from CME if offered for it.
