This course is designed as a comprehensive review of the diagnosis, monitoring and management of the critically ill patient as well as preparation for the critical care subspecialty examination. This continuing education offering is intended to meet the needs of any healthcare provider involved in the care of critically ill patients, including advanced practice nurses, anesthesiologists, cardiologists, critical care fellows, critical care nurses, emergency medicine practitioners, intensivists, internists, neurologists, pharmacists, pulmonologists, respiratory care practitioners, and surgeons.
This self-directed activity was prepared as a critical care review and will focus on increasing knowledge-based content.

The tracking system will make CPE data for each participant available to the state boards of pharmacy where the participant is licensed or registered. After CPE units are processed by ACPE and NABP, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians will be able to log in to a comprehensive electronic profile to access information about their completed CPE.
Physician Assistants: AAPA accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. Physician Assistants may receive a maximum of 35 Category 1 credits for completing this activity.
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 35.0 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM), American Board of Anesthesia (ABA) and the American Board of Surgery’s (ABS) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit. ABS requires participants to self-report credit if audited.
